In October 2024, to strengthen academic exchanges and promote international cooperation in scientific research between scientists from China and Europe and promote international cooperation in scientific research, a delegation from the China-Europe Scientists Forum Organizing Committee visited Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) in Hungary. As one of the initiators and co-construction units of the forum, representatives from ASR were invited to participate. The two sides conducted extensive exchanges on various fields, including forum construction, technological innovation, and project cooperation. PÁL VARGA, Head of the Department of Telecommunications and Artificial Intelligence, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Deputy Head GÁBOR FEHÉR, and Laboratory Director ATTILA VIDÁCS, among others, participated in the exchange.

Professor Linhua Jiang, Executive Chair of CESF and ASR, expressed appreciation for the warm reception by the Faculty of Electronic Engineering and Informatics and detailed the successful outcomes of the inaugural forum along with future development plans. Professor Pál Varga welcomed the delegation and provided an overview of BME's rich history and cutting-edge research directions.

During the meeting, both parties explored potential collaborations in student exchanges, faculty visits, and joint research initiatives, reaching preliminary consensus on multiple collaborative projects. Professor Jiang extended a formal invitation for BME scholars to participate in the 2025 China-Europe Scientists Forum and suggested future visits to China for deeper academic exchanges.

The delegation concluded their visit with a tour of the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory guided by Professor Attila Vidács, where they observed advanced equipment and learned about the latest research achievements.
