The China-Europe Scientists Forum (CESF) and ICASR Expert Team Contribute to the Successful Convening of the 2nd Hong Kong World Youth Science Conference
The opening ceremony of the 2nd Hong Kong World Youth Science Conference and the Xiangjiang Nobel Forum were held on April 13th at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Nearly 1,000 people attended, including 8 Nobel and Turing Award laureates, 40 academicians from home and abroad, world-leading scientists, young scientists, and entrepreneurs, to discuss topics such as big data, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and new materials.
The China-Europe Scientists Forum (CESF) and ICASR were invited to organize a team of Chinese and European scientists to attend the conference. The team consisted of Professor Michael Levitt, Honorary Chairman of the CESF and Nobel Laureate; Professor Jiang Linhua, the first Chairman of the CESF Organizing Committee and Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Bolivia; Hou Jun, Deputy Secretary-General of the CESF Organizing Committee; Xueguang Sun, President of the Association d'Incubateur Franco-Chinois; and more than 20 academicians, professors, and young scientists from around the world. Team representatives delivered keynote speeches at the main venue and sub-forums, and participated in several roundtable forums on topics such as basic research, future science, artificial intelligence, biomedicine, and Sino-European scientists dialogue. They discussed cutting-edge scientific and technological issues with many high-level experts invited by the conference, contributing to the successful convening of the conference.
